About Me

I cannot recall a time in life when I wasn’t writing. Journals, diaries, self-assigned book reports. Although my earliest work is buried somewhere in the eaves of my mother’s attic, you can find my more recent writing in a variety of online and print literary magazines.

I have published essays in Cognoscenti, BrainChild, BrainTeen, Entropy, K’In Literary Journal, Herstry, Grown & Flown and others. Over the course of a year, I also wrote 52 “shorts,” one each week, as a tribute to my mother.

In addition to published essays, my writing career includes over thirty technical manuals and years of marketing writing expertise.

I offer editing services for individuals and organizations. My sweet spot is working with high school students on college essays.

When I am not focusing on my own writing or on yours, I am managing MelroseKind, a non-profit I founded in response to an unkind happening at our local middle school. Eight years and we’re still going strong, spreading kindness where it is needed most.
